Don't forget to vote in the special elections on May 7th which includes:
- Grant Public Schools Board Member Recall
- City of Kentwood Charter Amendment Proposal
- Comstock Park Public Schools Sinking Fund Millage Proposal
- Kenowa Hills Public Schools Bond Proposal
- Lowell Area Schools Bond Proposal
- Thornapple Kellogg School Operating Millage Proposal
- Wayland Union School District Operating Millage Renewal Proposal
The Kent County Republican Party encourages taxpayers where Bond and Millage Renewal Proposals that are on the ballot to look into whether these requests benefit the interest of all taxpayers, and whether the millages truly advance an improved education system given the poor performance of our public schools.
As a taxpayer, you are also encouraged to investigate the AX MI Tax ballot initiative by Karla Wagner to eliminate property taxes as a source of funding our government services and not fund government organizations like the Kent County Library System.
