Congresswoman Bookout,
I was reading an article in the Detroit press where you and Congresswoman Day are going to try and block Donald Trump from being the GOP Nominee.
With all due respect, Millions upon millions of Republican voters have turned out in record GOP primary vote numbers and voted for Trump. With that being said, I am 57 years old and have always voted Republican. However, if the GOP makes any attempt to block Trump as the Nominee I for one and millions of other voters like me will never vote Republican again. Do you really want to circumvent the will of the People? We have spoken and we want Donald J. Trump as our next President of the united States.
Again, with all due respect I highly recommend that you and the GOP refrain from going against the will of the people as I truly believe that a move of this kind would be detrimental not only to your career, but the entire future of the Republican party. It would really be a shame since until now, the Republican party has always been the only party who appeared to be in line with the values of real American people. I appreciate you time and ask that you consider what I am suggesting to you. I hope that this email does not in any way soundlike a threat because it is not; these are simple facts.
