I am an Oklahoma Republican. I support the effort by Barbara Bookout and others to unbind the delegates at the Republican National Convention so that they can vote their conscience. Our presumptive nominee is unconscionable. I believe as Eric O’Keefe has declared that if left to vote their conscience, the delegates would choose a good ticket. We live in a representative democracy where our representatives are free to take the action they deem most appropriate. This is their duty. This is not contrary to the will of the people. This is the will of the people. We have a democracy only so long as we have the courage to keep it.
