I am 66 years old and susceptible to covin medically.. I usually vote absentee the last 2 elections.. However a married couple Relate to me that they received Application for mail in ballots within a few days of each other, Filled them out for an absentee ballot and deposited them right at their Byron township office…. Within a week’s time a ballot was sent to Mr. Who filled it out drove to the township dropped it in the Box and 4 and a 1/2 weeks went by and the wife did not get A ballot…. He went to Byron Center township and spoke to the lady in charge of the voting and in looking up his wife’s registration number, noted that they had not received her application for a ballot! He informed her he delivered both applications right to that office same day same Box and he had already received his ballot and Returned it… The clerk then deleting his wife’s registration number application, filled one out for her right there which of course was illegal because she wasn’t there to sign it, And then gave her husband a ballot to take with him.. Upon hearing this, I have my absentee ballot I had filled it out and I was going to bring it to my gaines township office where I thought it would be safe until primary on August 4th.. However, when Mr. Asked Where are those applications what happened to them the clerk replied they go to the local Post Office to Lansing Michigan Post Office.. And there lies the villain! What the hell happened to my friend’s application to vote? thrown away discarded put in a back Room where it will never be found? Bottom line is my friend was almost disenfranchised. What if this was a ballot she mailed or even delivered early? So I have my ballot at home that I was going to deliver early to my township but I have decided hell no! I don’t care if I’m sick hopefully not the covid19 but just not feeling well, I am making it to the poll August Fourth in person And voting… And I will do this again in the general election especially.. The clerk of Byron township told my friend that she will report the matter. now I’m not too crazy about the SOS secretary and having their office even know about it because I don’t think they’re gonna do a dam thing about it when they find out that my friend is registered as Republican!.. So I am happy that I ran across your website here in Kent county and you will know about this and add it to perhaps other concerns that were personally experienced by Republican voters. I also heard that president trump was concerned that in Florida, apparently they know that mail in ballots from each party is counted early,.. And that democrats are leading.. Because of situations like this here in such a small county of Michigan, a township actually, we republicans are not going to play game and have ourselves be eraced as irrelevant.. I believe Republican Floridians will arrive at the polls in person. And that’s what I’m going to encourage my friends to do here in Michigan August 4th and most definitely November .. I will never trust mail in voting absentee voting again the rest of my life. Thank you for reading this and please send an acknowledgement that it will be recorded as Voter Disenfranchisement exposed.
