  I attended the Trump rally at the Van Andel Arena on Thursday. I was surprised that no one took the stage with the President except his son, that no Michigan Republican leader spoke to fill the dead time before the Presidents arrival while leaving the puzzled crowd to listen to the RollingStones Sympathy for the Devil! Really? And then to find that the Republican leaders present were somewhere off in the crowd at a safe distance from the stage, at least gave the appearance they might be embarrassed by this man. He stands alone while accomplishing things that Republicans have campaigned on for decades and now appear to, in some cases, resist. I don’t know if this is directed at the right people, but as Republicans I think we should all be a little embarrassed by this. Thanks for listening. God bless. Preston Smith.
