Join us for a presentation from Kent GOP Political Director, Mike Sullivan, on the process the MI Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is using to draw our Congressional and State Legislature maps. Mike will also be discussing four ways you can participate in the public comment process:

1. SUBMIT WRITTEN COMMENT: Drop the commission a note in the public portal letting them know your opinions on map drafts. CLICK HERE to submit a written comment.
2. SUBMIT DRAFTS OF MAPS: Submit your own Congressional District, community of interest, State Senate, and State House maps for Kent County. CLICK HERE to submit maps.

3. CALL-IN TO ONE OF THE COMMISSION'S MEETINGS: The Commission is meeting every day and continuing to draw map drafts. We need individuals to attend the meeting virtually by Zoom and speak at the beginning of each meeting during public comment. Contact Kent GOP Political Director Mike Sullivan if you are willing to speak at [email protected] 616-459-0141.

4. ATTEND THE PUBLIC HEARING: After you submit your written comment and various maps in the public portal, show up to the Commission's public town hall hearing on October 18th at the DeVos Place (in-person or by Zoom) and speak during public comment. The purpose of this town hall is to hear from citizens on the proposed maps. The time for this hearing has not been set by the Commission, all we know is that it will be in the evening. If you are willing to speak, our office will contact you via email with further details and how to register to speak, when it is available.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP on this page and if you are able to, bring a laptop or tablet to the session. This will allow you to follow along with Mike's presentation and submit your comments to the Commission after his presentation. The maps that are drawn by the Commission will be the next district lines for the next 10 YEARS! Our party needs to take a stand today. Contact Kent GOP Political Director Mike Sullivan for any questions to concerns [email protected] 616-459-0141.

Will you come?
