Proposal 3, the so-called “Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative,” passed in November 2022 amidst 47 million dollars spent to promote it. As more information surfaces about these funding sources including disgraced FTX executives, we have more questions than answers about the legal implications of this new constitutional amendment.
On Monday evening, the Kent County Republican Party joined eleven Michigan prosecutors and the Cannon Township Board, including Chris Becker and Steve Grimm, in denouncing the broad language of the amendment that may well invalidate age of consent laws in Michigan.
