Due to new COVID-19 restrictions, the Kent County Republican Party’s County Convention on Thursday, December 3rd will now BE HELD ENTIRELY VIRTUALLY. The purpose of this convention is to elect the Executive Committee, which will serve from 2021-2022. We will not be electing delegates to the February Michigan Republican Party State Convention at this meeting. That will occur at a County Convention this winter. Further details on that convention will be released at the beginning of next year.
A Zoom account is required to join the meeting, as well as a computer or smartphone device. To sign up for your own free account, visit https://zoom.us/signup and enter your email address. You will receive an email from Zoom ([email protected]). In this email, click “Activate Account”. This is important as we will be electing our Executive Committee members by County Commission District and will have a breakout portion of the meeting. In order to more efficiently assign you to the correct district, you will need an activated account.
If you do not have an account and need assistance creating one, please contact our office. If you do not have a computer or smartphone, you are still able to participate by calling in using a phone, with no Zoom account required. If you choose this option, please inform Kent GOP Executive Director Luke Arends at [email protected] or 616-459-0141.
You will receive an email on Wednesday, December 2nd with a Zoom invitation and passcode to join the convention. To ensure there are no technical difficulties, please join the convention early. You can join as early at 5pm.
You may participate through computer, smartphone application, or by dialing in from your phone. If you have any questions, please contact the Kent GOP at 616-459-0141.
