28th State Senate District Forum

With State Senator Peter MacGregor's resignation in December of 2020, the Governor has called for a special election to fill the seat. The primary election is being held on Tuesday, August 3rd and the general election is being held on Tuesday, November 2nd. Three candidates are running for the GOP nomination: State Representative Tommy Brann, State Representative Mark Huizenga, and Algoma Township Supervisor Kevin Green.

The Kent GOP & Gerald R. Ford Republican Women's club are co-hosting a forum. Note: The forum was originally scheduled for July 21st but has been moved to Tuesday, July 27th because of a scheduling conflict. The forum will be held in the Grant Pavilion located within The Meadows at Millennium Park located at 1415 Maynard Ave SW, Walker, MI 49534. The event will be from 5:30-7:00pm. Please RSVP if you plan to be in attendance. We ask all attendees to please bring their own chair for the event.

If you would like to submit a question for the candidates, please submit it by CLICKING HERE. We will also be collecting questions on notecards at the forum.

If you are not able to attend in-person, the forum will be recorded and uploaded the next day (July 28th) to the Kent GOP's YouTube Channel.
