Our coffee with the Chair is a casual event where all fellow Republicans can talk about important issues while enjoying some free coffee and donuts.

Join us to hear the Chairman's Report from John Schaut.

Guest Speaker Liberty Pastor Austin Kreutz

West Michigan Liberty Pastor Austin Kreutz became a Christian during his college experience and was active in campus ministry. He married his college sweetheart, had two sons, and they have enjoyed 48 years together. In those early years, he answered a call to ministry.

For more than forty years, he has been teaching life applications from God's word, Natural Law Theory, as well as the United States Constitution, The Bill of Rights and History. As an ordained minister he has pastored churches in Michigan and New York as well as internationally.

Austin is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary and was the director of Albany Area Biblical Counseling. Currently, he serves as the Pastor at Restoration Christian Community in Allegan Michigan. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, The Thomas Torrance Fellowship and President of the Bonhoeffer Form for Church and Culture.

Keynote Speaker Peter Meijer, US Senate Candidate

Peter Meijer for Senate

Peter Meijer is a member of the Meijer family, the owners of the Meijer superstore chain. He holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University and a master's degree in business administration from New York University. Peter served in the United States Army Reserve and was deployed to Iraq as an intelligence advisor during the Iraq War.

From 2013 to 2015, Peter worked as a conflict analyst for an international NGO. He was later employed by Olympia Development of Michigan of Ilitch Holdings as an analyst from April 2018 to January 2019. During this time, Peter also worked on veterans projects such as Project Rubicon, was on the advisory board of the With Honor super political action committee, and assisted with urban renewal projects throughout Michigan.

In 2020, Peter was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan's 3rd congressional district.

He married the lovely Gabriela in 2016, and they just had their first child, a beautiful baby boy, lovingly named, Fred Meijer.

Peter Meijer believes that we need bold leaders with a vision. He believes Michigan Families are being crushed by rising interest rates and inflation. He believes we should be making it easier for Michiganders to get married, buy a house, and have more babies. He declares that parents should never have to worry if their children are guinea pigs in someone’s social experiment.

Peter says that if corporations want favors from our government, then they better be investing here. He’s a free market guy, so if we’re gonna have to pay for electric cars then we better be building them in Michigan, not Mexico, and we should be using supply chains that are American, not Chinese.

An American century is going to demand energy dominance, so let’s build 100 nuclear reactors by 2050 so every American can
enjoy, cheap, reliable and clean, energy. Let’s unleash our natural gas exports to power our friends and bankrupt our enemies.

No vision is complete without security. Joe Biden has let in 10 million illegal aliens to this country while qualified people with something to offer can’t get a visa after waiting years in line. Peter believes we need to tear down our broken immigration system and rebuild it from scratch with a system that is secure, humane, and focuses on qualification, not quotas. Peter Meijer‘s vision will help create a second great American century!
